Teruel canister
The Mudejar production of green and manganese glazed ceramics in Teruel is located around the second half of the thirteenth century. The case that concerns us, the pot, has figurative decoration, and can be dated to the fourteenth century, being a very significant example within this series. Two main decorative themes are developed in it: on one side the figure of a woman wrapped in a green cloak and with her finger pointing to the sky. And on the opposite side there are two stems whose shoots are two large pine cones (artichokes). The oriental influences in this decoration are evident.
