BUDA AMIDA #21

Madera dorada

The seated Buddha, with the mudra upadesa or discussion of doctrine, signals Amida’s majesty, wisdom and enlightenment. The development of the lotus flower on the Buddha’s throne, and the double halo surrounding his face and body emphasize the spiritual dignity of the personage.
