BUDAI (MAITREYA) #26
This image shows a somewhat later and more popular iconography than the previous number in the catalog, with the legs in the lalitatsana posture, a colorful decoration of the tunic that also exposes the chest and belly. This type of polychrome porcelain applied to different divinities such as Budai, Guanyin, etc., was very common in Chinese porcelain commissions by Europeans in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
