Virgin enthroned
Small sculpture made in ivory, of an enthroned virgin, seated with the child in her arms (lost); elevated armchair on a body of cherubs, carved as a cylinder independent of the composition. Its provenance is unknown, although its formal characteristics point to the Luso-Indian productions of the 16th-17th century. It is one of the pieces in showcase 16 of the Biblioteca del Carmen Rodríguez-Acosta.
